We have been seeing a lot of Costa Bingo in the press in recent times. First off they have taken the world of online bingo by storm by giving away a record amount of money in a free bingo game. This was a prize of £100,000 which went to one winner just at the May – in celebration of their second launch anniversary.
Before that we saw new sister-sites, Sing and City Bingo go up, and more recently in 2011 – new Fancy Bingo went live too. Then round about April 2011, a completely different site from this brand was launched for Beta Testing. This is XBingo.com, and what we think they are looking for is bingo with the X Factor. This site is on their own brand of software while Costa, Sing, Fancy and City all come from the Dragonfish factory.
All the bugs have been ironed out of XBingo.com and by the looks of things this will continue to be their own brand of software, newly managed and created by Mandalay Entertainment. I think we had better watch out for this lot; they may be the future of things to come.
In the meantime a few more new sites have released on the Dragonfish brand, but not under the same label as the Costa crew – one is Banjo Bingo, I lose track of all the others there are always so many.
On the Bingo Entertainment network, powered by Byworth Software we also saw the recent launch of Britain’s Got Bingo. It is no wonder it is so hard to keep on top of all these newly launched sites; Mecca Bingo also launched Britain’s Got Talent Bingo last year and they are the official sponsor of the talent show. Britain’s Got Bingo may actually turn out to be very popular because of the great brand name, but also because they give us £10 free and a 350% first deposit bonus.
