mecca bingoIt is no secret that Mecca Bingo does great things for charitable causes, last year they chose Whizz Kidz as their charitable concern, this year it is Marie Curie Cancer Care. Working together like this, fund-raising can become a force to be reckoned with and one recent initiative saw Taunton Mecca Bingo hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party. They joined forces with others on the same theme and the hope was to raise £7,500 across Somerset which could ostensibly provide 375 hours of nursing care. A hot drink and cake was sold for a pound a pop, so every one got a good deal out of it!

Mecca Bingo Online currently offers a specific game for this fund raising effort and more details can be found at the site. The goal is for this bingo operator to raise enough funds during 2010 to care for 22,000 terminally ill patients!!

While we are on about Mecca Bingo, the Britain’s Got talent competition came to a close on 7th July and now it is up to you to vote your favourite acts in. The prize winner is going to take centre stage at Wembley Stadium in front of 40 000 people and win £3000. The top two finalists will get VIP entry into the 2011 Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

There have been all kinds of weird and wonderful acts entered, but take a look at the entrants at www.youtube.com/MeccaBingoClubs. The top five finalists will be listed soon, and its true, Britain definitely has got talent, if not a lot of nerve!

This competition is providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for talented Mecca Bingo members and is just another of their partnerships which shows this bingo operator is about much more than bingo; it is also about community at large. Oh, yes, I nearly forgot, there are some great new promotions up at the site too, take a look, please do.
