Is The British Bingo Market “Saturated”?

I just read an article on a UK Online bingo blog which described the British bingo market as being “extremely saturated” and I couldn’t disagree more! There is absolutely nothing coming from experts to indicate that this market is bottoming-out. In fact new sites are going up all the time, although I believe many are just trying their luck. For example Ladbrokes Bingo this last Quarter earnings are up by 18.8% and although this is a great British Brand name; they are by no means the best British bingo site.

This bingo blog also mentions the “harsh realities” of needing big marketing budgets, and while this is definitely true; new sites entering this market are not necessarily “doomed to failure” like the writer is saying. If new sites entering the British Bingo market were doomed to failure by coming in at this late date, why are they even investing in sites in order to cash-in on the business prospects – any business is about attracting custom, all they have to do is work harder than the next site?

This fatalistic attitude in respect of the UK bingo market leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The British bingo market has spent the last couple of years expanding rapidly into the European marketplace (unlike this writer says). While some sites are still concentrating on the UK – most of the others are rushing headlong into Europe. We only have to look at the player/winner usernames to see they are no longer all British. I seen have this change take quite a remarkable swing in St. Minver networked sites such as Chit Chat and Littlewoods Bingo.

The Foxy Bingo’s, Jackpot Joys, Tombola’s and Sun Bingo have made it blatantly obvious that they only intend to concentrate on the British Bingo market and have the money to put it where their mouth is. The less liquid sites are making a concerted effort to service our European brethren already; and remember there is Australia and other markets too. Still we don’t believe for a moment yet that the British bingo market is “becoming more and more saturated each month”.
