This agreement is to provide a bingo software platform to online Gala customers through the Playtech vehicle of Virtue Fusion. Experts are saying that Virtue Fusion was one of the best acquisitions Playtech ever made, and they have seriously got some, significant online bingo customers. Playtech has also recently made a pact to buy Mobenga mobile and enter the UK sports betting industry on mobile too.
Playtech will be covering the entirety of Gala Coral’s operations, so it comes as no surprise to learn that they recently snatched up Swedish company Mobenga for the bargain price of just short of €24 million! Gala also wants them to provide a mobile sports betting platform too!! Gala Bingo is migrating to Virtue Fusion as part of this sports betting deal, and the company has confirmed that this is a “significant” long-term software contract – no doubt the Mobenga expenditure will be ‘worth’ it.
